It's Me Again

Since I have arrived in the Philippines over 4 months ago, I have aquired many new skills and worn many different hats... one of my most recent new jobs is the children's presentation assistant/advisor (most known for being the person who sits in front of the kid's during a presentation doing the actions and mouthing the words for them to follow if they forget). Just last Wednesday, we had our biggest performance so far held at MMLDC. It consisted of 5 songs. Four out of the five were taught and practiced within one week of the performance. Despite the short preparation time, the children did a wonderful job :)

Since the kids were performing for the Christmas Tree Lighting in the evening, they were treated with an aviary tour, bird show, a snack (spaghetti and fried chicken), a drama, games, and prizes during the day.

Here's a short excerpt from a conversation held during one of the activities at MMLDC...

Host: Who can remember any of the names of the birds you saw during the aviary tour?

Richard: Peacock!

Host: Peacock... very good! Can you spell peacock for us?

Richard: (with no hesitation) P-I-K-A-K!
