Thieves

When I wasn't at the beach for my mini-break, I was in the probinsiya (the country) at Ate Jorlyn's house... I tried to steal a young coconut from their backyard, but was caught in the act.

Some of the other fun activites I did in Dumaguit included pumping water from the well, washing my clothes in a bucket, driving the 80's stick shift van around town (only the second time I've ever driven one AND the first time I've driven in 8 months), stepping in piggy poo, enjoying the sea breeze, eating all sorts of shell fish, drinking tuba (fermented coconut sap...I didn't like it), and attending the local late night sayawan (dance), never complete without some carnies (see above).

Boracay

Chillin' in the water... at this point, I still don't have a voice.

Speechless

I'll be leaving for Boracay in about 10 minutes without a voice... I lost it last night, and it still hasn't come back to me. Will it come tomorrow while I'm at the beach or the next day when I'm at the beach again? Until we meet again, I will be signing and writing...

I'm Melting!!!

The garden preschool graduation just finished about 30 minutes ago... it lasted 1 1/2 hours due to rain during the slide show of all the activities from the school year... we spent 7 hours this morning decorating and doing last minute preparations... we spent countless hours wrapping gifts, making ribbons, preparing diplomas, taking pictures, doing grades, cutting out letters, gluing letters, making programs, etc.... I spent 35 minutes getting making myself neat and clean (I was pretty stinky after hanging up the curtains and helping with the flower arrangements outside this morning)... and it took about 5 seconds for my makeup to melt after the graduation started.

Golden

Saturday night, I attended Uncle Oscar's 50th Wedding Anniversary. I started getting ready at 5 pm, the party started at 6 pm, we arrived at 8 pm... talk about Filipino time :)

(btw, I was actually on time for once)
